Mission Statement
Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish is a Roman Catholic faith community leading people to God the Father through the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Vision Statement
We endeavor to be a vibrant community called by our belief in God to a life of spiritual growth and service. We will actively minister to each other and the wider community. We strive to develop personal relationships with Jesus Christ through the grace received from the sacraments and prayer. We will continue to be transformed into humble disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Core Values
- Roman Catholic – We are a Roman Catholic community with a rich faith tradition that includes liturgy, the sacraments, prayer, a deep communal relationship with God, and personal relationships with Jesus Christ. We take strength from being part of the Body of Christ, which provides guidance, stability and fellowship for Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish.
- Prayer – Led by the Holy Spirit, we pray communally and as individuals. We embrace our responsibility to worship God in liturgy and receive His grace through the sacraments.
- Faith Formation – We provide faith formation for all people to initiate and enrich our community's understanding of God. Through our varied ministries, we develop personal spiritual growth.
- Inclusiveness – We welcome and value the unique gifts that each individual brings to our community. Through fellowship and ministry we provide numerous opportunities for individuals to use and develop their gifts (time, talent, and treasure) for the greater honor and glory of God.
- Service – We love and serve others, especially those in need of spiritual and material comfort, care, and enrichment. As called by our baptism, we expect all to be involved in service.
