The Gift of Priesthood - The Joy of Spiritual Fatherhood

“It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.” (John 15:16)

It is such a joy to welcome you to this podcast series entitled: "The Gift of Priesthood - The Joy of Spiritual Fatherhood." I start with that quote from the Gospel of John because it sets the foundation for the topic I want to reflect on with all of you. It’s the Lord’s heart, his call, his incarnation, passion, death and resurrection that redeems the world and restores you and I, and opens the door to divine friendship and salvation.

I also believe that the fruit of these reflections will be that we all see our own identity through that lens, ….as beloved daughters and sons of the living God, as a grace-filled community on pilgrimage together to the Kingdom, and not just a social club or service organization. So, join me for these reflections as I talk about the joy of being a spiritual father, the gift of priesthood. And as we make this journey, please offer prayers everyday that more and more people will hear God’s call to the priesthood and to all forms of consecrated life. Here we go!
