Margo has been a registered nurse for 43 years and has been a member of the Parish Nurse Ministry at Our Lady of Good Counsel for six years. In January of 2021, Margo assumed the lead role of the Parish Nurse Ministry, and in October of 2021, she completed additional to become commissioned as a Faith Community Nurse.
“I am grateful and blessed to be able to serve the parishioners of OLGC and the surrounding community. As a Faith Community Nurse, my goal is to combine my nursing skills and faith in order to help care for the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of individual parishioners and families. The heart of Faith Community Nursing is caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit, to bring about healing and wholeness. By listening, encouraging, praying, educating, and connecting to helpful resources, I hope to be a good support and to help parishioners in any way I can regardless of age or circumstances.
Additionally, my goal is to help keep our parish healthy by gathering information to assess the overall health needs of our parishioners. This is essential to determining the education or interventions necessary to help meet those needs and maintain the health of our parish. Finally, I am happy to assist with and/or be present at any parish events where my service as a nurse may be helpful.”
