Richard was the past commander of the Detroit News American Legion Post.

Visitation Tuesday, July 2nd 2:00 PM until the 9:00 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West, (between Sheldon and Beck) Plymouth.

Instate Wednesday, July 3rd 9:30 AM with Mass following at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel 47650 North Territorial Road, Plymouth Michigan 48170.
