Connor III, Joseph M. – November 13, 2023 age 82 of Plymouth. Beloved husband of Kate for 33 years. Loving father of Bridget (Joe) Potchen, Joseph Connor IV, Tricia (Dean Lavery) Connor, and Kristina (Josh) Leege. Proud grandfather of Nicole, Ed (Amanda), Amy, Julia, Anna, Megan, Brynn, Paige, and Cora. Dear brother of William (Jude) Connor, Robert (Anna) Connor, Patrick (Denita) Connor, Ginny Connor, Mary (Steve) Balazic, Christopher (Nancy) Connor, Nancy (Chuck) Hooper, Theresa (the late Fred) Krueger, and the late Peggy (Tony) Grudzinski, Dan (Nee) Connor, and John (Debbie) Connor.

Joe was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in a close-knit Irish Catholic family as the eldest of 12 siblings. His roots instilled a profound love for his hometown, with cherished memories of trips to Belle Isle, Eastern Market, and unwavering support for Detroit sports, including his beloved Tigers and Lions. Joe exemplified a strong work ethic throughout his life. Following a successful career as a business owner, he dedicated 20 meaningful post-retirement years as a Presenter at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. In his personal life, he had a passion for golf, traveling, and enjoying foods from many cultures. Joe was also captivated by all things nautical, including lighthouses and watching freighters go by.

Above all, Joe's heart belonged to his family and friends. The joy he found in spending time with his loved ones was unparalleled, making it a constant priority throughout his life. May his love and cherished memories live on in our hearts.

Visitation Thursday, November 16th from 3 – 8 PM at Vermeulen-Sajewski Funeral Home, 46401 Ann Arbor Road West (Between Sheldon and Beck), Plymouth. In state Friday, November 17th 10 AM until the 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 47650 North Territorial, Plymouth.
