With love and gratitude, we remember John Paul Truskowski, who passed away April 5, 2026. Born March 28, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, John will be remembered for the love he shared and the lives he touched.

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ann; his children, Cheryl Crawford, Rosanne (Michael) Martin, and John (Julie) Truskowski; and his grandchildren Justin Morley, Jason (Ashley) Crawford, McKenzie (Ryan) Martin, Joshua Martin, Annabella Truskowski, and Sebastian Truskowski, who were the pride and joy of his life.

He was also a beloved brother, deeply cherished by his surviving brothers Richard (Barbara) Truskowski and Stanley (Rosemary) Truskowski. His close bond with his siblings reflected his deep love for family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Truskowski, sisters Jeanette (Michael) Jacek, Connie (John) Polinsky, Theresa Votruba and brothers Joseph (Jeanne) Truskowski, Leonard (Darlene) Truskowski, and Edward (Evelyn) Truskowski, who all instilled in him the values of generosity, connection, and faith.

He was known for his kindness, intelligence, and steady presence, always willing to lend a hand. A proud member of the Elks Lodge since 1982, he served as the Exalted Ruler and gave back to his community in meaningful ways, valuing service, fellowship, and connection.

He will be remembered through the love, traditions, and memories shared by his family, as they gather to remember him during a series of memorial services.

Visitation will be held at L.J. Griffin Funeral Home in Canton, MI, on Sunday, April 12,2 026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Monday, April 13, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

John will lie instate at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church,47650 N. Territorial Rd. (West of Beck Rd.) in Plymouth, MI until the time of his Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
