Life Issues

The mission of the Life Issues Ministry is to inspire our parish and community to cherish the dignity of all human life from conception to natural death.

We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month in the Fr Byrne (Library) room at 6pm. All are welcome to join us! Email [email protected] to be added to our list!

Moving toward healing

Have you had or been involved in an abortion? Do you feel restless, troubled, and stuck?

Like you, we are parish members who also have experienced abortion. We are reaching out to you and offering to meet with you in a safe and confidential setting. A woman with a woman and a man with a man so that you can talk about your story with someone who has gone through the same experience. We've discovered the first step toward healing is just being able to talk about it with someone who understands. We are not priests, deacons, or church staff. We are just like you. If you're ready to take the first step then send an email to [email protected]

No one from the parish staff will see your email. There is forgiveness and mercy waiting for you.

UPDATE April 9 2024:

In response to the United States Supreme Court hearing on the abortion drug mifepristone, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has called for a nationwide invitation to prayer for the end of abortion and for the protection of women and pre-born children. For this initiative, the bishops invite all Catholics to pray this prayer to St Joseph the defender of life, as we await the release of the Court’s decision, expected sometime in June. https://www.respectlife.org/pr...

Additionally, to help educate the faithful about the dangers of IVF, the USCCB has made available In Vitro Fertilization: The Human Cost. This educational resource provides information on the health risks of IVF for mothers, children conceived through IVF, and the embryos created during the IVF process. https://www.usccb.org/resource...

End of Life Issues/Resources

On April 23rd 2023, Michael Vacca and Fr. Jim Lowe presented on the topic of Physician Assisted Suicide (PAS) at our event called Fighting the Illusion of Compassion. Those who attended left feeling encouraged and hopeful that we can combat the evils of euthanasia and PAS with education and action. They also received many free resources to help them and their loved ones learn about this impending crisis. The links to these resources are listed below.
