St. Paul asks us, “What have you that you did not receive?” (1 Corinthians 4:7)
Everything we have and are is a gift. The entirety of the Christian life is a response to the God who is the giver of all these gifts. One of the most concrete ways that we can respond to Him is to put Him first. This is true of our finances, our time, and our talents. God dares us to try to outdo Him in showing generosity.
OLGC embraces the “5-4-1” model as a responsible way to help parishioners guide the direction of their financial giving.

“Ask God to give you the courage to trust Him more with your finances. And when you do, trust He will provide you with extraordinary peace and joy. Surrender to God. Put Him first. Give yourself completely to Him. Trust Him. Live in a way that makes everyone around you want to know Him. And offer them a life-changing encounter with Jesus.”
