Registration Information for the Eight Great Dates Series

The program is designed to help married couples learn practical tools to build a strong and healthy marriage. Over 8 evenings, couples have the chance to discuss important issues often ignored in the rush of daily life. Topics covered include: 1) learning to communicate effectively, 2) resolving conflict, 3) healing past hurts, 4) recognizing each other’s needs 5) how to make each other feel loved, 6) relationships with parents and in-laws, 7) make love a gift (a.k.a. the sex talk for grown-ups), 8) how to have fun together. As part of the last date night, we will renew our wedding vows.

It is for any married couple who want a strong and lasting relationship with each other. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been married.

Nicky and Sila Lee, the authors of The Marriage Book, have developed The Marriage Course at Holy Trinity Brompton in London, England in 1985. It is Christian based and facilitated by OLGC couples.

Each evening typically begins with a meal at your own private table. Over dinner, couples have an opportunity to spend time together with each other. Dinner is followed by a DVD presentation, interspersed with exercises and questions for each couple to discuss privately. During the discussion times, music will be played in the background to prevent any conversations from being overheard. All discussions are private between husband and wife; there is no group work involved at any stage of the course. There will be absolutely no need to share anything about your marriage with anyone.
