The children of our parish family are offered a family-centered program of formation for their first reception of the Eucharist. Families are invited to celebrate first Eucharist at a Sunday liturgy during the Easter Season. The entire parish rejoices with these young brothers and sisters with a Eucharistic Procession and Blessing on the Feast of Corpus Christi, two weeks after Pentecost.
The best preparation of children for their welcome to the Table of the Lord comes in weekly celebration of Sunday Eucharist with their families. The materials provided at the beginning of the school year also help children develop their understanding of the Eucharist.
Through the course of the year, the families of children preparing for First Eucharist are invited to set the Table and present the bread and wine for Eucharist in the name of the whole assembly.
