2004-2005 Annual Objectives
Prayer
- Worship Commission evaluates the execution, participation, and promotion of the Tuesday parish day of prayer by November 2004.
- Worship Commission creates a prayer life action plan to strengthen the parish prayer life culture by December 2004.
Faith Formation
- Pastoral Team and Commission Chairpersons evaluate existing and develop new training and assessment programs as well as position responsibilities for staff, ministry team members, and volunteers by May 2005.
- Faith Formation Commission, Youth Minister, Director of Religious Education, and School Principal evaluate existing and develop new youth spiritual development programs emphasizing worship and discipleship by June 2005.
- Faith Formation Commission clarifies and coordinates existing programs as well as develops and implements new Catholic lifelong learning and spiritual development programs for adults by June 2005.
- Faith Formation Commission and Pastoral Associate develop description, training, and selection process for pastoral facilitators to be assigned to small pastoral groups by December 2004.
Spiritual Community
- Worship Commission, Welcome Ministry, and Ministers of Hospitality evaluate existing and develop new programs and opportunities to provide welcoming, hospitable, and social environments for parishioners and visitors by February 2005.
- Parish Council increases parishioner awareness of the role of the Parish Council as well as its relationship with parishioners, the Pastoral Team, Commissions, and Vicariate by March 2005.
Christian Service
- Christian Service Commission, Youth Minister, Director of Religious Education, and School Principal educate and engage our youth in outreach and social ministry programs by June 2005.
- Pastoral Team and Stewardship Commission assess the talent of the parish by conducting and evaluating the Parish Census and by other means with the intention and expectation of increasing parishioner participation in ministry by January 2005.
Stewardship
- Stewardship Commission and Finance Committee provide history, accounting, and financial plan(s) and opportunities to parishioners by November 2004.
- Stewardship Commission and Finance Committee evaluate the outcome of the desired 50% minimum increased Sunday offertory collection by March 2005.
- Stewardship Commission and Finance Committee evaluate the outcome of the major gift and alternate giving programs by June 2005.
- Stewardship Commission and Business Manager investigate additional storage options by December 2004.
- Parish Council, Stewardship Commission, and Business Manager, in consultation with the School Principal and Athletic Director, investigate the need for and feasibility of constructing athletic fields and additional play areas by December 2004.
Communication
- Pastoral Team, Parish Council, and Commission Chairpersons develop and implement an interactive process to clearly communicate parish and school goals, objectives, initiatives, and accomplishments to parishioners and the wider community by June 2005.
