Any person who is fully initiated into the Church and over 16 years of age may come forward to minister the Eucharist. These ministers bring the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus to the assembly when we gather to celebrate the Eucharist; they are also invited to answer the call to take the Eucharist to the homebound and those in care facilities. This ministry is not so much a privilege as it is a responsibility that comes with baptism. Formation for Ministers of the Eucharist takes place in the late winter and early fall of each year. Ministers are certified by the Archdiocese and commissioned for ministry within the parish family. Call Vicki Philips at (734) 455‑0077.
